IWS – International Welding Specialist
The IWS training course is intended for those who wish to work as a welding specialist/welding coordinator, meeting stringent requirements in welding. Our IWS training course is approved according to the IIW (International Institute of Welding) guidelines by the Swedish Welding Commission.: Svetskommissionen i Sverige.
The training course lasts for 25 days and is divided into four modules:
- • Section 1: Welding methods
• Section 2: Learning about materials
• Section 3: Construction
• Section 4: Production
After completing the course and passing an examination, participants are awarded an IWS diploma and the title of Welding Specialist.

Entry requirements
Admission to the training course requires approval from the Swedish Welding Commission. The requirements are as follows:
- Basic training in sheet metal and welding and three years’ professional experience of welding or at least five years’ professional experience of welding.
